If you have one or more missing teeth, the same-day dental implants, or as we call it, New Smile Today procedure may be an option for you!
The New Smile Today procedure is a revolutionary – all in one visit- approach that allows you to walk out of our state-of-the-art surgical facility in Voorhees, NJ with a restored smile the same day!
In a single appointment, our skilled periodontists replace failing or missing teeth with dental implants and our in-office lab technician can create and attach non-removable new teeth that look and feel completely natural.
Best of all, you are never without a tooth from start to finish. You won’t have to wait to experience the life-changing benefits of new, permanent teeth and the confidence that comes from a new quality of life and beautiful, functional smile!
The same-day dental implant procedure involves surgically placing an implant or several implants and attaching non-removable “permanent” teeth to the implants on the same day. At a future visit, the crown or bridge is replaced by a more durable final prosthesis to maximize aesthetics and function.
Used to replace a single tooth, multiple teeth or a full set of teeth, this revolutionary procedure can often be performed without scalpels and stitches, reducing post-operative discomfort, swelling and bruising. This amazing technique was developed by one of our board-certified periodontists, Dr. Alan Meltzer, and other professionals.
With a dedication to the best results, this technique and team have generated various awards nationally and internationally. With involvement in the development and design of this new protocol, and the alpha and beta testing phases, Dr. Meltzer, Dr. Isleem and our entire team are uniquely qualified to offer New Smile Today and as one of the first practices to utilize this protocol, we have arguably some of the highest levels of experience in this treatment in the whole country.
Your treatment process starts with a CT scan of your jawbone. This scan allows for the generation of a 3-D model of your jaw, which can then be used in specialized software to plan implant placement virtually.
Following the gathering of the diagnostic data, we will provide you with our findings and recommended an approach based on your unique set of circumstances.
Once the case plan is completed, your digital file is sent to a guide manufacturer. The surgical guide manufacturer then forwards a case-specific surgical plan and surgical guide to us.
Both the plan and guide are sent to the laboratory and used to create a master cast of your new tooth or teeth. Restorative implant components are selected, and the teeth are fabricated so they are ready at your day of surgery.
Before your surgical date, we review all the material to ensure it is accurate and appropriate for your procedure.
Next, the minimally invasive surgical kit is prepared, and the surgical guide is placed in your mouth to verify fit.
On your day of surgery, we prepare the site or sites with the case-specific surgical plan and surgical guide for implant placement using a special navigational surgical instrument set when necessary.
The implants are mounted, and the surgical guide is removed. Finally, your new teeth are placed with extreme precision and accuracy.
At the same surgical appointment, the crown or bridge can be added using two different techniques: occlusal loading and non-occlusal loading.
These new technologies allow for the immediate placement of an implant at the time of tooth extraction, as well as the immediate placement of a non-removable tooth, bridge or full set of teeth at the same visit. You will walk out of our office with brand new, functional teeth!
The welfare of the patient is the main concern, and we do not sacrifice long-term predictability to save time, cost and visits.
Through extensive experience with tooth replacement therapies, our board-certified periodontists provide the ability to deliver comprehensive dental implant solutions that can last your lifetime!
